ABOUT ALEX

After taking the 2017 Omnium title, Alex roared to the team pursuit world title in London.  He followed this up in 2017, followed by the 2018 Madison crown.

Alex kicked off 2018 strong with appearances at the Santos Tour Down Under, Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race and TrackNats.

With Sam Welsford, Leigh Howard and Kelland O’Brien, he teamed to become the first team in history to break the three-minute (3:49.804) fifty-second barrier on their way to winning gold at the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast.

The quartet then smashed this at the 2019 Track Worlds Championships in Podium with 3min 48.012sec, with Welsford winning two golds in the space of 30 minutes at the Championships after taking top honours in the men's scratch.
