Nathan Hart (born 04/03/1993) followed his father Braham, a former Australian representative himself, into the sport of track cycling.
Beginning on the outdoor tracks in Canberra, Hart made the move to Adelaide to join the Australian Cycling Team in 2013. He has represented Australia at two Commonwealth Games, firstly in 2014 where he won bronze in the Team Sprint with Shane Perkins and Matthew Glaetzer. At the 2018 Gold Coast Games, he won bronze in the Team Sprint with Matthew Glaetzer, Jacob Schmid and Patrick Constable. He made is Australian Olympic Team debut at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games where he finished fourth in the Team Sprint with Matthew Glaetzer and Patrick Constable. Hart has represented Australia at the UCI Track Cycling World Championships in 2014, 15, 16, 17, 19 and 20. At the 2018/19 UCI Track World Cup in Cambridge, NZ, Hart claimed his maiden World Cup gold in the sprint. At the 2020 World Championships in Berlin, Hart teamed with Matthew Richardson and Thomas Cornish to win bronze in the team sprint in what was Australia’s highest finish at a World Championships in eight years.
