15x NATIONAL CHAMPion

Sydney's Kaarle McCulloch (born 20/01/1988) is a four-time world champion, Olympic bronze medallist and a fifteen-time national champion.

Kaarle switched from national level athletics to cycling as a teenager and quickly rose through the ranks to represent Australia in 2006 at the UCI Junior Track World Championships where she won a bronze medal.

In 2008 she dominated the sprint events at the National Championships with a triple crown in the sprint, keirin and time trial.

McCulloch then partnered with Anna Meares to win three straight world crowns in the team sprint between 2009 and 2011, including breaking the world record in 2011.

McCulloch claimed gold in the team sprint and a silver medal in the 500m time trial on her Commonwealth Games debut Delhi in 2010.

On
her Olympic debut at the London 2012 Olympic Games, McCulloch and Meares defeated the Ukraine to win the bronze medal in the team sprint.

McCulloch then took a break from the sport in 2014 due to injury, and was selected as a reserve for the Rio
2016 Olympic Games.

At the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, she claimed dual gold (team sprint and time trial) in a four-medal medal haul on the Gold Coast.

At the 2019 World Championships, McCulloch won team sprint gold with Stephanie Morton, while also racing to the keirin silver and time trial bronze.

At the 2020 World Championships, McCulloch won team sprint silver with Stephanie Morton.
