16x NATIONAL CHAMPion

Annette Edmondson (born 12/12/1991) got started in cycling through a South Australian Institute of Sport high school talent identification program with her brother Alex.

As a junior, Edmondson won ten Oceania and National titles in both the sprint and endurance events, before switching to the endurance ranks in 2010.

In 2011 she won her first elite track title, with 2012 being Edmondson's launch onto the international scene with Olympic bronze in the omnium plus multiple World Cup medals.

2013 and 2014 saw Edmondson claim more than three dozen podium appearances on the world stage including wins on the road at Tour of Chongming Island and Tour of Belgium while also adding to her national titles tally.

In a stunning performance at the  2015 Track World Championships in France, Edmondson's 2015 won rainbows in both the omnium and the team pursuit (with Cure, Hoskins and Ankudinoff).

Annette has contested two Commonwealth Games, firstly in 2014 in Glasgow where she celebrated scratch gold and individual pursuit silver, and also in 2018 on the Gold Coast where she won gold in the team pursuit and bronze in the individual pursuit.

A dual Olympian (2012 and 2016), Annette boasts an Olympic bronze medal from the omnium (2012). Unfortunately a training crash in Rio on the eve of the 2016 Games halted Australia's chances of a team pursuit podium finish. Nettie also finished eighth in the omnium.

Annette boasts 16 elite national titles on the track between 2010 and 2018.

At the 2019 UCI Track World Championships in Poland, Edmondson teamed with Ashlee Ankudinoff, Amy Cure (TAS), Annette Edmondson (SA) and Georgia Baker (TAS) to win the team pursuit.

During the 2019-20 World Cup season, Nettie excelled with dual Madison gold medals and team pursuit gold and silver.

At the 2020 UCI Track World Championships in Germany, Annette teamed with Ashlee Ankudinoff, Georgia, Maeve Plouffe and Amy Cure to finish fifth in the team pursuit.
